David joined the Hourigan team almost three years ago, not long after retiring from his extensive career as a military police officer. After years of moving from place to place and spending time away from his family, he was ready to put down roots and invest in a company where he could grow. Fortunately for David, the transition from the military to the construction industry was not a difficult one, especially with Hourigan’s family-centric values and culture of safety.
While serving, David learned invaluable managerial and communication skills that translate well into his current role as a regional safety manager. He also sees parallels between the military and his team’s mentality on jobsites. Everyone is working towards the same mission to ensure their teammates make it home safely. It’s a shared responsibility, and David is proud to lead them in it.
