Great Bridge Middle School Renovations

The project consists of 127,000 SF of interior renovations and a new 78,000 SF, 2-story addition to a 1,300-student middle school. New construction of the 2-story addition houses a new science lab, cafeteria and kitchen, classrooms, auxiliary gymnasium, stair towers, and ADA accessible entrances. The renovation process completely “gutted” the existing structure and provided for totally new power and mechanical systems. The schedule was established in order to conduct all asbestos abatement and major systems changeover during the summer months minimizing occupancy hazard issues.
