As a Development Associate, Matthew provides strategic planning, project management, and financial oversight for new development and investment projects at Hourigan. His commercial construction background offers him a unique perspective in analyzing Real Estate opportunities and delivering successful projects. His experience in spec and build-to-suit industrial, as well as multifamily ventures, has been instrumental in his time at Hourigan. Matthew graduated with Honors from Virginia Tech in 2017, earning dual degrees in Building Construction and Real Estate.

Committed to investing in his industry and community, Matthew serves on the Industry Advisory Board for the Blackwood Real Estate Department and is an alum of ChamberRVA’s Mentor Richmond program. Known for his enthusiasm and disposition for leadership, he takes pride in contributing to any team’s success. Matthew is a proud Richmond native, and enjoys spending free time with his wife, Summer, and friends. They can often be found on the golf course, by the water, or exploring Richmond’s great restaurants and breweries.
