Richmond-based Hourigan teams with Clayco to provide design-build services for Dominion Energy’s new office tower in downtown Richmond.
The first of two phases, the 20-story tower will be approximately 1 million square feet and occupy a full city block. It will include a high-performance workplace, street level retail, employee amenities, and parking for approximately 1,000+ employees. The building is targeted to be LEED Gold and integrates a range of sustainability strategies including a high-performance exterior enclosure, energy efficient mechanical/electrical systems, and an exterior landscaped terrace which captures and utilizes rainwater. The project is designed to promote new ways of working and enhance productivity and efficiencies that will redound to the benefit of Dominion Energy employees and customers.
The project team includes Kendall/Heaton Associates of Houston, Architect of Record; Pickard Chilton of New Haven, Conn., Design Architect, PDR Corp., of Houston, Interior Designer; Timmons Group of Richmond, Civil Engineer; Alvine Engineering of Omaha, Mechanical/Electrical Engineer; and Magnusson Klemencic of Seattle, Structural Engineer.
