Yesterday, Hourigan hosted stakeholders at the Kinsale Insurance Headquarters job site to sign into action the new Virginia BUILT Partnership. The partnership between the Associated Builders and Contractors of Virginia and the Virginia Occupational Safety and Health Program will work to enhance the safety performance of contractors throughout the Commonwealth.
According to ABC Virginia, STEP participants will be able to apply for participation in Virginia BUILT, which will operate four tiers of membership that provide recognition and benefits based on safety performance. The highest performing members will act as mentors to construction firms that require a similar level of performance in safety to participate in Virginia BUILT.
